Crochet gauge and size calculator

See the dimensions a fixed stitch count will produce at your measured gauge.

Completely free. Noncommercial. No account, ads or uploads.

Enter your measurements and calculate to see the result.

How the calculation works

Stitch gauge is counted stitches divided by measured swatch width. Panel width is existing stitches divided by stitch gauge. Rows and length use the same proportional method.

Worked example

40 stitches at 20 stitches per 10 cm give a 20 cm panel width. The same 40 stitches at 24 per 10 cm give about 16.67 cm.

What this tool covers

Counts stay fixed. Applying gauge in the studio changes dimension estimates and preserves course progress. Measure after the finishing treatment planned for the project; this calculator does not predict drape or fit.

Inputs stay in this tab. “Use in a creation” prepares a result for your review in the studio. It does not change an existing creation until you choose Apply.
